Getting ready for the “Dominator” tour (19.11. – 22.11.)
Monday, November 23rd, 2009From November 19th und 21st we met at Stefan’s studio in Pulheim to rehears the planned setlist for the tour which will include some surprises. We also worked on new arrangements in “Man And Machine” and Udo’s son Sven stopped by to play “I’m A Rebel” on drums a few times. After the last rehearsal we had some discussions about things we could change but in the end we decided to start with the rehearsed setlist and everybody except Stefan and Diac (who prepeared some additional things) left the studio.
During the evening the first crew members arrived at the hotel in Pulheim. At 9:00 in the morning Stefan’s studio was the meeting point again to load in the equipment. The bus arrived at 9:30 and had as usual problems to pull into the driveway to the studio. The bus loading was done at 11:00 and we were ready to start the tour!!! First stop Oslo… hopefully see you there or somewhere else on the “Dominator” tour.
Sweden Rock Cruise (08.10. – 09.10.)
Wednesday, October 21st, 2009The last show of the summer festival session 2009 was on schedule. Not somewhere out in the fields but on a boat… the boat of the “Sweden Rock Cruise”. A few hours before departure we arrived at the harbor and got some impressions of what will happen the next two days on the boat during the wait for check-in. The last hour before departure we spent in the VIP area… which we could call “A Very Icy Place” because it was cold like hell in there when we entered this room. After switching off the air conditioning and drank some coffees we felt more comfortable.
We were allowed to enter the boat before and the party mob followed us a few minutes afterwards. Walking around on the boat from that moment showed the main goal of most of the people on board… getting drunk… faaaaaaaast. Anyway, U.D.O. was headliner of the evening or better in the morning because stage time was 01:15 in the morning. The crowd in front of the stage had a very good time and celebrated a great rock ‘n’ roll party together with us which didn’t end after the show. The “Moonlight Bar” was the meeting point for the after party. At 7:00 in the morning the last of us went to bed.
A very good organization, nice people and a lot of alcohol… maybe tooooo much for some people… this is how the “Infected Summer Festival” season ended. Thanx a lot to all which were at our shows during the summer. Hopefully we will meet again when the “Dominator Tour” starts in a few weeks.
